The International Acupuncture Academy is a subgroup of the Hellenic Corporation of Chinese Medicine (HCCM), established in 2011. HCCM is an official member of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS).
Our mission is to promote the development and the education of acupuncture and East Asian Medicine and its incorporation within the professional scope of practice of healthcare professionals.
In parallel, we are aiming in bridging the gap between East and West, enabling the efficient use of acupuncture within the practice of practitioners, while applying critical thinking and critical reasoning.
Our course is structured in such a way that covers and respects all the foundations, perspectives, and approaches of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as practiced since antiquity. In parallel, the neurobiological and biochemical responses induced by acupuncture that provide the scientific bases for its mechanism of action, as well as evidence based contemporary acupuncture approaches such as trigger point Dry Needling are covered.
Our lecturers are internationally recognized experts in the field of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, and the majority of them are registered health professionals (MDs, PTs), holding degrees in both Chinese Medicine and western allopathic health professions.
